Up and coming news reporter, Hallie Berglund, arrives for a
much anticipated interview certain to boost her ratings, but
stumbles into a murder scene. The victim’s boyfriend is also on
the scene and holds the murder weapon in his hands. Hallie’s
testimony is paramount to Damon’s conviction. Everything
points to his guilt. How could he be innocent?

Co-worker Brody Jordon, believes in Damon’s innocence in
spite of the circumstantial evidence pointing to his guilt. Hallie
believes Brody is resistant to see the truth, because Damon is
a sport hero, one Brody admires.

When Hallie discovers the victim’s bracelet was handcrafted by
her long-dead mother, Hallie begins to search for another
truth, the secrets to her past. The answers to both mysteries
rest in a deeper investigation to what Hallie believes she has
witnessed. Hallie learns that things are not always as they
appear. That may include Brody Jordon, too.

Jill Nelson has woven together as intriguing a story as it is
entertaining. A definite page turner, it is well worth the read for
both the lover of mystery and those who enjoy a good love
story.
