And hope does not disappoint us,
because God has poured out his
love into our hearts by the Holy
Spirit, whom he has given us
(Romans 5:5 NIV).
TOO BLESSED TO BE
STRESSED
TOO ANOINTED TO BE
DISAPPOINTED
This reminder come in my email box from
someone who has tried to live life
positively and accept circumstances as
they come, although not necessarily from
a Christian perspective as some of us
define Christianity. But, I thought this
should be the motto for every believer. If
we remind ourselves of this truth, that God
loves us so much, whatever stress is upon
us pales in the comfort of God’s great love,
how quickly the impact of that stress
dissipates. Then we can dig our feet into
the ground and wait for deliverance, even if
that deliverance is a loaf of bread at a time,
a gallon of gas at a time, a well-baby
checkup, or a hug from someone we love.
It might be that deliverance comes in the
form of eternity with God, too. We can’t
say the how, but we can say with certainty
that God cares about what we care about.
He weeps with us, laughs with us, and
stands ready to push when we need it. He
holds our hearts when we can’t go any
further. I’d say that is what it means to be
blessed.
