There is no fear in love. But perfect love
drives out fear because fear has to do with
punishment. The one who fears is not
made perfect in love (1 John 4:16).

There’s that word again—fear. Why do I
fear that which has no power over me. God
has control of my life, my dreams, and
ambitions. So, if I’m tired—I’ll rest. God will
restore strength. If I thirst—I will drink
water for God will restore the fountain. If I
am hungry, I will eat. God will replenish the
cupboards. When we fear, we are not being
lovely. Fear causes us to act selfishly. Fear
is primal and outflows from self. If God is
at the center of our thoughts, there is no
room for fear.
