My name is Nancy Sonneman. The call on my life is to write books
and articles for God. I was born on September 8, 1957, in
Cincinnati OH. I've never been married. Due to my handicap
because I have fibromyalgia syndrome, I live at home with my
mother and our sweet little parakeet. I am active in my parish The
Community of the Good Shepherd Catholic Parish on the
fundraising and evangelization committees as well as being a
Bible Study participant.
I've been writing since the age of seven. I was so fascinated by a
play that my second grade class read in school that I turned a
favorite storybook into a play at home. As I grew, I became
enthralled with television, and began to write "Fan fiction" for the
shows. As time went on, I began to attempt, half-heartedly, to
publish original stores. This went nowhere.
When I started the last job I was able to hold, I was so exhausted
by the time I came home after an eight-hour day that I simply
couldn't write. After passing it off as an unreachable childhood
pipedream, I gave up on writing.
Over the next five years, I was drawn back into writing more and
more. By the last year of the 20th century, I was convinced that
writing was my gift from God. Then I realized that writing wasn't
only a gift, it was a calling. When it became apparent that I could
no longer work, it was with the understanding that I would devote
two hours each weekday to write for God.
And so I write today, sharing God's gift of writing with everyone.
