We are not of those who shrink back and
are destroyed, but of those who believe
and are saved (Hebrews 10:39).

Sustaining power. That is what God gives.
The weak will retreat when faced with
uncomfortable situations. They will cower
in the face of insurmountable odds. Yet
those of us who believe are empowered by
God’s might. Though we lack strength
from ourselves, we have confidence in the
God of Might. Therefore, shrinking back is
inconceivable.

Why is it then, I balk when I get a
rejection? Why do I sit and moan when my
back hurts? Why do I think I can’t get
through the afternoons without coffee?
