I pray that out of his glorious riches he
may strengthen you with power through
his Spirit in your inner being.
(Ephesians 3:16).

It’s dark. I forgot to turn the light on. The
power source was right there, but I failed
to use it. I was hungry. The refrigerator
was full of food, but until I went to the
source to satisfy my need, I remained
hungry. I was thirsty. But until I drink the
water, I remain thirsty.

God is our supplier yet we fail to reach out
to him. We have access to great and
mighty power but our lack of faith, even
our lack of ambition, keeps us from
knowing the full measure of God. My
prayer is for that to change. I pray that I
will yearn at the first inkling of thirst,
hunger, and darkness and not wait until I
am spiritually drained, dehydrated, or
famished.
